Ali.

Está ali. Exactamente ali e ali vai continuar. Ali teve a sua primeira experiência. Ali olha para toda a gente, com um ar frio e seco. É ali que se mantém imóvel, sem falar, sem suar. É dali que todo o mundo lhe passa ao lado. É dali que nós, pessoas comuns, o usamos. Sem que ele tenha escolha. Sem que tenha opinião. Vive enclausurado nele mesmo. E é daqui que eu o vejo ali, a ele e a muitos outros como ele.

A música alternativa (ou não).

Escrevo sobre uma questão que há muito me incomoda mas, sejamos sinceros, só agora tive paciência de partilhar.
Há testes infalíveis. Aqui vai um, por passos:

1- Abram o vosso itunes (se não usarem itunes e ainda usarem o winamp abram-no na mesma)
2- Pesquisem pela banda Kings of Leon. (Se forem fãs, têm os seus 5 álbuns)
3- Ordenem os álbuns por ordem de preferência do melhor para o pior. (podem ouvir de novo para não terem dúvidas)
4- Resultado: Nenhum dos vossos preferidos é um dos álbuns mais recentes.
5- Façam o mesmo com The Killers, Bloc Party, Arcade Fire, Arctic Monkeys, The Kooks e The National.

É ou não é um teste infalível?
A maioria das bandas que descrevi em cima tem um claro decréscimo de qualidade de álbum para álbum e a isso tem uma justificação: Querer vender mais.
Brandon Flowers disse em tempos que queria que os Killers fossem os novos U2. Erro crasso. Lá foram tocar sons mais comerciais que resultou em merdum.
Os Kings of Leon de há dois álbuns para cá que estão numa onda mais comercial. desde aí, onde andam estes senhores?
Os Bloc Party fazem um álbum estupendo, o outro muito bom e depois vem de lá cocó, mas cocó daqueles que nem para cheirar ao longe dá. Ao ponto de Kele, o vocalista, fazer uma (merdinha) duma carreira a solo.
O que é feito de Modern Love de Bloc Party, Fans de Kings of Leon, ou All These Things That I've Done dos The Killers?
Porque é que deixam as produtoras mexer e influenciar os seus sons em vez de ir com as suas próprias ideias até ao fim?!
